General Information

Louisville, Kentucky Child Care Center and Preschool

Advanced Learning Center has two convenient locations with both open 24 hours each day Monday through Friday. Our week begins at 5:00 AM each Monday and ends on Saturday at 8:00 AM. ALC allows parents to utilize 10 1/2 hours each day during the shift indicated on their initial registration form.

For our parent's convenience, the JCPS school bus stop is located directly in front of our building and is available to transport children who are enrolled in our before and after school program. Advanced Learning Center's staff members are present at the bus stop during boarding and un-boarding hours each day.

Special Celebrations

We welcome the opportunity to celebrate your child's birthday! We encourage parents to advise your child's teacher and the director of any special plans that you may have. Because state regulation does not permit parents to provide food from home for parties or other events, we allow only food items from a commercial facility such as area grocery or bakery.

Age Groups

At Advance Learning Center we accept children starting at ages six weeks to ten years.

As part of our policy we require submission of a completed registration form and a valid immunization certificate prior to a child's first day of enrollment. Kentucky regulation prohibits ALC from accepting children into our program without the required documentation. You will also need to complete the medical history and medical emergency procedures form.

Meals

ALC provides meals that meet USDA federal food guidelines. Menus are posted weekly in the main entrance hall. Our staff will encourage children to try everything on the menu, but will not force a child to eat.

We serve breakfast to the school age children between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM, lunch between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM, and dinner between 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM. We also serve afternoon and evening snacks.

As part of our dedication to the healthy eating habits, our menus always follow USDA food guidelines. Breakfast consists of fruit or vegetables, grain and milk. Lunch and dinner include protein, grain, fruits and vegetables, milk and health snacks with two components of each food group.
